Returns & Refunds Policy

At RODAS GEMSTONES, JEWELLERY AND ART PLC, we stand behind the exceptional quality of our ethically sourced gemstones, fine jewelry, and art. If you are not completely satisfied, we are here to help.

1. 10-Day Return Policy

You have 7 days from purchase to request a refund or store credit.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Custom Work:Custom-cut gems, bespoke jewelry, or commissioned art.
  • Altered Material:Any rough gemstone material that has been cut, polished, or modified.
  • Sale Items:Items marked as “Final Sale.”

⚠️ Note: Local customs duties, tariffs, and import taxes are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.

2. Faulty or Incorrect Items

You are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement if an item arrives with a major manufacturing defect or differs significantly from its gemological description. Please email us immediately with photos, your order number, and a description of the issue.

3. How to Return an Item

Because we ship through hubs in Addis Ababa and Bangkok, you must follow these steps to avoid severe customs penalties:

  1. Contact Us First:Email our team to receive the correct return address and mandatory customs declaration text.
  2. Pack Securely:Use a sturdy box and the original protective gemstone packaging to prevent transit damage.
  3. Ship with Insurance:Return shipping is at your expense. We strongly recommend a tracked, fully insured courier (FedEx or DHL).
  4. Send Tracking:Email us the tracking number immediately upon dispatch.

⚠️ Customs Warning: Returns must be declared exactly as instructed (typically “Returned Goods – No Commercial Value”). Incorrectly labeled shipments entering Ethiopia or Thailand may incur heavy tariffs or seizures; any resulting fees will be deducted from your refund.

4. Processing & Refunds

  • Inspection:Returned items are verified by our gemologists to ensure they match their original weight and unaltered state.
  • Timeline:Approved refunds (excluding original shipping costs) are processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method.
  • Wire Transfers:For direct bank transfers, please provide your IBAN, SWIFT/BIC, and routing numbers.
  • Exchanges:If you prefer an exchange or store credit, specify your choice when initiating the return.
